Mixing Cocaine and Methadone

Both prolong the QT interval, and methadone's QT effect is dose-dependent and associated with a roughly four-fold rise in sudden cardiac death. Cocaine adds its own arrhythmia risk on top while masking sedation. This is a heart-rhythm risk more than a breathing one, and it is not something you would feel building.
The risk here is to the body — breathing, heart, temperature or organs. Set limits before you start, because this kind of harm does not announce itself in time to react.
