Mixing Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) and Mushrooms (shrooms)
Caution
Beyond an ordinary 25–50 mg dose of diphenhydramine, mushrooms make its delirium worse and injury more likely. Keep diphenhydramine to that dose.
At 25-50mg, DPH may assist with side effects of the psilocybin such as nausea and anxiety. At higher dosages, the combination of a deliriant (DPH) and psilocybin is cautioned against. Psilocybin is likely to increase the deliriant and negative effects of DPH, in addition to increasing the risk of severe injury and mental trauma.
The risk here is to the experience — intensity, panic, thought loops, confusion. Physical harm is unlikely at ordinary doses. Setting, company and dose do most of the work.
