Mixing Kratom and SSRIs

Caution
Two problems at once. Several SSRIs inhibit CYP2D6, which shifts how mitragynine is cleared and can raise levels from an unchanged dose. Kratom is also mildly serotonergic, so serotonin toxicity is a real if uncommon risk. Practically, the usual outcome is that a familiar dose hits harder than it used to.
The risk here is to the body — breathing, heart, temperature or organs. Set limits before you start, because this kind of harm does not announce itself in time to react.
