Caution
Additive sedation on top of an opioid's respiratory depression. Melatonin is not the main risk in this stack, but it deepens sedation and makes an emerging overdose harder to recognise as anything other than falling asleep.
The risk here is to the body — breathing, heart, temperature or organs. Set limits before you start, because this kind of harm does not announce itself in time to react.
